Life is full of trials so I have decided if I don't write about them all then I will forget about all the wonderful and not so wonderful things we have been through... So I write to share about my family's life... Enjoy!

Jayden's took her first steps

Last week on November 3, 2010, 2 days before Jayden turned 9 months old, she took her first steps... Such an amazing day. Me and your grandma were at Bootcamp and you walked from your grandma to mommy and back to grandma. I can't believe you took your first steps already. Such a smart little girl we have... Now comes the fun stages of this age trying to keep up with you is a challenge, and keeping the house baby proofed.
Other accomplishments, You have learned how to open the screen door by yourself and now love to sit out on the patio playing with the leaves and watching the trees move. Its fun to just sit and watch how content you are sitting out there... and how pissed you get when we make you come in because its to cold. Your are now attempting to feed yourself, ha ha that is such a mess but your learning.
We went to your 9 month appt last week and you are getting sooo tall 29 1/4 inches long in the 90%  and weigh 20.15 lbs in the 80% which is perfect so far your growing like a weed :)

It has been a busy 2 months

It has been a busy 2 months for my family... Since Jayden is the love of my life we will start with her.
Jayden is 8 months old today and even though we are not with her (we are in San Fran on our honeymoon more to come on that later) I know she will be so excited when we get home and give her the gifts we got her and give her all the loves to make up for the week that we have been gone.
Anyway back to Jayden, she is sooo smart I can't even handle it. She has gone from being able to sit on her own a big acomplishment, to meeting the big milestone of Crawling :) im so proud of her... Now for all the small details I noticed she wasn't as happy being held anymore so I bought her a bunch of new toys (yes she is spoiled its ok) you know the ones that encourage crawling and moving around ya all the good ones for a 6 mo old... So she started getting curious and next thing we know she is getting up on both hands and knees and started "the rocking" motion, she would rock forward and then face plant it cause she couldnt get that she needs to lift one arm at a time... But since my little one is sooo smart she only did this for about a week before she got the whole concept of crawling and over the last 3 weeks she has mastered it...
Other things she has mastered... she now pulls herself up on EVERYTHING its great she is learning but not so great to baby proof the house. She also has begun to have a good appetite and will eat just about everything we have tried to give her. She is defenetly my kid because she LOVES her veggies. Currently Squash and pickles are her favorites. Surprisingly she enjoys lemons as well... just talking about it gives me a puckered face but she seems to love them.
Well I believe thats all the updates on Jayden, other than she is just growing soo fast already in 12 mo PJ's she is gonna be super tall. I love her so much and I can't wait to watch her contnue to grow and learn :)

He. Went. To. Shane Co :}

So after a year of saying no to James I finally said yes to marriage. I dont know what changed in me or why I changed my mind but after spending the 24th of July with him and seeing him with his family something changed in me and I realized that this was the man I wanted to spend the rest of my life with...
We went shopping for a ring and picked out one I really loved, and later that week he took me to the park where we had our 2nd date and after a picnic type dinner we went for a walk around the park and thats when James gets down on one knee and asks me "to make him the happiest man ever and spend the rest of our lives together" I tear up and of course say "YES".

We set a date and silly me I think to myself we have a trip already planned for the end of September so why not just make that our honeymoon... and the wedding date is set September 25, 2010. That is only 8 weeks away... What crazy person tries to plan a wedding in 8 weeks... Ha Ha I guess I am that crazy person cause we're doin it.

After 4 months of forced tummy time (ya I said forced and that is because my daughter HATES being on her tummy) We may not have to force her anymore because today Jayden Rose made a huge accomplishment... she has mastered rolling over both ways :) we are so excited for her to meet this accomplishment such a big milestone. And she doesn't even freak out... well she doesn't freak out as much anyway YAY! We are excited to continue to watch her grow and develope...

DUN DUN DUN now comes the crawling... Not so sure if we are ready for this milestone.

4 months since the biggest adventure started

It's been awhile but I figure maybe its time to blog about all the changes since Easter...

Well Jayden's 4 month Dr. appt was last week and she is growing like a weed (as so many of my older patients like to say) she's 25 1/4 inches tall and weighs 14lbs 9 oz already. Its crazy how big she is I think she is gonna be tall like her daddy and I'm ok with that cause im short... She is growing out of all of her PJ's I finally got smart and instead of buying more 3-6 months I bought 6-9 and sadly she is almost long enough for them :( makes me sad! Finally she is sleeping through the night YAY!!! She will sleep from 10 pm -8 am HELL YA I love it...

Jayden recently started eating actual baby food and like her momma she loves her veggies Thanks goodness... Squash is currently her favorite... and tonight she grabbed the spoon and tried to feed herself needless to say this was a messy process but she was able to get the spoon to her mouth and kinda got some cereal in her mouth ha ha she's so independent just like momma. We are still working on rolling over she HATES being on her tummy but im such a mean mommy and I make her do her tummy time every day so someday soon she will be crawling and getting into EVERYTHING im sure :). And as with all babies her age she puts everything in her mouth SOOOO i guess that means I need to start baby proofing my house UGH!!!
We took Jaydabug swimming for the first time this month and she absolutely loved it she is such a fish we spent a good 45 min in there before I got BORED and was ready to get out :)
She just loves her new toys... such a spoled baby girl but hey it keeps her entertained which makes us happy

Anyway so much continues to change as we continue on this adventure of life :)

Jayden's 1 month old

Jayden,
I can't believe your a month old already this time has gone by so fast. You have changed so much, your already rolling over from you tummy to your back and I just can't believe it. Thats something that babies usually can't do until they are 4 months old. Your so Smart :) mommy is so proud of you. We have learned so much together already like how to be good parents, and how to survive of VERY little sleep, and how having you has changed my life completely.
I had to pack up your premie and newborn clothes the other day and this made mommy so sad because you have grown up so much so fast, but its so exciting to watch you grow and change :).
I love the cute little faces you pull, and the way you stretch, and I love how you pull up into a ball and stick your cute little bum in the air.
Your daddy loves you so much already, he thinks your gonna be a daddy's girl but he's wrong we'll show him your a momma's girl already :)
Jayden we love you so much and can't wait to watch you grow and change, your our little princess Happy 1 month birthday with many more to come.
Love your mommy

Training... UGH!!!

So for some odd reason I have it stuck in my head that I need to run a marathon so I decide to start with a half... dont want to get in over my head.

I haven't done any aerobic exercise since last June when I got pregnant and recently started my training and WOW am I out of shape, everything hurts and a hardly ran... ha ha ha well actually it was more of a slow jog. But i do have to say I am proud of myself for getting started and now that I have started training all I want to do is keep it up and see that I meet my goals.

To me that's what life is about setting and meeting your goals so:
Goal number 1: Be able to actually RUN a mile in under 9 min.
Goal number 2: Run 10 miles straight in under 2 1/2 hours
Goal number 3: Register for a half marathon in the fall
Goal number 4: after completing the half start training for the Full Marathon

Well that seems to be some good goals for the next year hopefully I will keep my ambitions and complete all these goals... Good Luck to me :)

Jayden is finally here

I arrive to the hospital at 5 a.m. after a sleepless night, anticipating the long day to come. They start the meds to start my labor and at first it was easy... then the contractions start to come harder and more regular. So we decide to do the epidural before they get much worse, I was nervous about this but it wasn't all that bad.

It's 9:30 and they say its time to break my water, im dialated to a 4. Wow that is such a gross feeling for those that have experienced this its GROSS...

Now its noon and something just feels different so I call the nurse in and sure enough im already to a 10 and its time to start pracitce pushing, I'm thinking to myself OH Shit im not ready for this im not ready to be a mom and give up my life for my baby I can't do this take it all back... Then the pressure starts to build and I quickly change my mind and all I want to do it PUSH. So we start to push and the doctor almost missed it all. I pushed a total of maybe 10 times at the most for only 45 min and she was here. Thats when everything changed, and the love I feel for her is there instantly :) Now the real adventure begins, looking forward to the sleepless nights, the crying at all hours, and endless diaper changes. But i feel it will all be worth it, and we may just have another baby someday... I know I know I kept saying she was gonna be my only one but sometimes it takes experiencing something as wonderful as becoming a mommy to change your mind.

Now to all those who have not had kids and are reading this, my labor was unheard of easy for it being my first baby or so im told... Lucky me but I wouldn't expect it for everyone.

I'm off to continue in my adventure of mommyhood... Goodnight

New Year... New Challenges Await Me

So it's a new year and a lot has changed for me and my family over the last 9 months, so I decided with so much changing I would start to blog it all so we can remember the new changes...

Last April I meet my boyfriend James we had an instant connection and I fell for him fast, but I would say he fell for me faster :). In June 09' he moved in with me, in July we found out I was 8 weeks pregnant wow really that wasn't the way I pictured our relationship going.

When I told him he was so excited, I was scared and I didn't know how life could change so fast; but it has. It has been a long 8 months, its been a hard roller coaster of emotions but now that my baby girl is almost here I am so excited to meet her and hold her. It's crazy how much you can love someone that isn't even here yet. And she has so much personality already always waving to the camera and doing her fun dances... but we are all ready for Jayden to be here.

Jayden Rose Pace will be here in the next couple days and we are all so excited to meet her...
Life is a crazy roller coast, can't wait to climb the next hill of life :)
